Yoomee Wonder stamped herself as a mare on the rise with a well-deserved victory at Moe on Sunday, January 25, securing the second win of her racing career and continuing a strong start to her second preparation.

The win was the reward for a run of consistent performances that had hinted a breakthrough was imminent. Yoomee Wonder was explosive first up at Donald, running some of the best closing sectionals of the race and narrowly missed, she then travelled to Murray Bridge in a race that didn’t unfold in her favour, followed by a strong run up in grade at Warrnambool. Returning to Fillies & Mares BM62 grade, Yoomee Wonder proved too good, sailing by her rivals in the final 100m.

Freedman was delighted to get another win with this mare and has always believed that she can go on to win more races. Freedman said “We’ve had to be very patient with this mare and had a few issues early days, but she has really come to the fore in the past twelve months.”

With her current trajectory, Yoomee Wonder looks well placed to continue rising through the grades. Congratulations to all involved!
