Jackie's Maid Returns In Style
Wednesday, 04 Mar 2026

Jackie’s Maid delivered a well-deserved victory when resuming at Kyneton on February 27, rewarding the patience of trainer Mitch Freedman and connections with an impressive first-up performance.
Despite a race record that may not fully reflect her ability, Jackie’s Maid has long shown promising talent in her work and on race day. Freedman has always maintained confidence in the mare, trusting she would continue to improve with maturity on her side, and that belief paid off as she produced a strong effort fresh to claim the win.
Ridden by Harry Coffey, Jackie’s Maid circled the field from the 600-metre mark and produced a dazzling turn of foot, racing away to a soft 2.25-length victory.
“We are delighted to see Jackie’s Maid win first-up. She is a mare with an incredible story of resilience right from her first breath, and this preparation she is the biggest and strongest we have seen her. I’m confident that now, as a furnished mare, she can continue to deliver on race day.”
It had been a long time between drinks, 719 days to be exact since her maiden win at Echuca, but we couldn’t be happier for the connections of Jackie’s Maid. Congratulations to all involved!
