Oraqua continued her outstanding run of form with a commanding victory at Sandown on July 1, recording her fourth win for the Mitch Freedman stable and her first success at metropolitan midweek level.

A change of tactics proved to be a master stroke, with Harry Coffey settling just behind the leaders and a great piece of riding from the 800m saw him come back to the box seat and angle his way into clear air at the top of the straight. When presented with clear running, she quickly put the race beyond doubt, accelerating sharply between the 400 and 200-metre mark to score in impressive fashion.

Since joining the Mitch Freedman stable twelve months ago, Oraqua has been a model of consistency, producing a string of competitive performances and continues to improve with each and every start. Her tactical versatility and will to win have made her a valuable member of the team, and her latest victory suggests there is plenty of upside. With confidence growing and her rating climbing, the stable believes Oraqua has the ability to measure up to Saturday-grade company in the near future. Freedman said "It was really pleasing to see her bounce back after a below par performance last time at Sandown. We had a change of tactics today, riding with some cover to protect her from the wind and this proved to be very advantageous."
