Cicconi Rain has continually shown great improvement from her first two starts, culminating in her maiden win at Swan Hill with a dominant all-the-way victory.

The progressive filly jumped well and was positive from the barriers, taking control of the race from the outset. Cicconi Rain's maiden success set the tone for what proved to be a monumental day for the Mitch Freedman stable at Swan Hill, the perfect way to begin an unforgettable afternoon, with the stable going on to have four wins on the day.

Freedman said "She is a filly who just keeps getting better all the time. She has shown good improvement this preparation and we do think there is a lot of physical development still to come."

The win was particularly rewarding for breeder and owner Mr Chris Handley, who races the filly alongside a group of close friends. Sharing in the success of a homebred always carries extra significance, making the victory an especially memorable one for all involved.
