Stable favourite Wazza was a popular winner at Swan Hill, grinding out a tough maiden at his second career start.

The imposing homebred son of Ghaiyyath, raced by Roll The Dice Racing, was one of the first horses under pressure from the 800 metres and showcased his gritty toughness, steadily building through his gears and wearing down his rivals to score by half a length.

A victory built on courage and determination perhaps more so than than brilliance, Wazza's toughness to sustain a long run under pressure was a testament to his character and made for a thoroughly deserved maiden success.
